But I always play the first time legitimately. There are risks and it can take way a lot of the enjoyment. I agree that, in theory, its never worth to buy a cheating device. I guess as long as you don't interfere with other people's way of playing like messing with multiplayer or so, I think you can do whatever you want with it. But yeah, it can also brick your game or the 3DS if you're not careful - when it's messing with memory data that can override boot up data on the system or game. Common risks are corrupting your save data and crashing the game because you're entering codes to modify how the game works against its original behavior. I've never used powersaves, and there will always be risks when using these things because they're from a third party coders, and aren't supported by Nintendo. It takes time to earn your rewards in the game, but once complete certain, it has that nice relief feel to it.Įven though there are annoyances such as RNG or high unlocking requirements for certain things, I still wouldn't use it even if it were risk free. It's a farming simulation game that has no real end to it. I feel that it would take away some enjoyment and any achievements when used with it, as it's not the intended way of playing it. I don't think I'll ever plan on using powersaves for any game, especially SoS. People won't care that much.Īt least for me, I don't think it's worth it.

Sorry if this is rambly but I hope this answers your questions! I think its worth it if you want to be able to play more than two save files on one cartridge or if you want early access to the blueprints because your save file should be fine if you keep backing it up.Īs to which one to get - either powersaves 3ds on amazon will work so I'd get the cheaper one I haven't cheated in my SOS (I lost my power save) but I looked through the codes - the powersave gives you access to every blueprint in the game so you if that tempts you, get it but don't use any codes before backing up your game first. If you just use it to back up your saves, I don't think it can corrupt your codes - I only think it can corrupt your file if you are using cheats on it. That being said, I still think its worth it for backing up your saves. I was able to reload my last backed up save on to the cartridge and didn't end up losing any progress but, having logged over 200 hours into that game, it was scary to say the least. I set it to automatically back up my save in Pokemon every time I out the cartridge in and I'm really glad I did because it corrupted my save. I haven't used it for SOS but I used it for Pokemon. I'm asking on the fogu forms because I see a lot of you use it. DemonicSmilez wrote:So I've been thinking about getting a powersave, but I'm still.
